“Don’t be ashamed of your story it will inspire others.”

I encourage those who have a voice to use it. I encourage you to use it for those who no longer have one, and for those still searching for theirs. I encourage you to no longer be ashamed of what you have been through; but be proud that you survived! Be proud that the thing(s) that tried to kill you made you stronger! Hold your head up high and smile! Stand tall and raise your voice.

There is “No shame in my game.” Yes, I went through it, all of it. But I decided to no longer let IT control me. IT will no longer be used against me, but instead I choose to use IT to help and inspire others to do the same.

A Life Worth Living For; a life filled with purpose, a life filled with hope and a life filled with dreams.

I appreciate this. I am in the process of a rough draft for a memoir I am writing. The one area that I struggle with is being truthful about the people who have hurt me. I somehow feel as if I need to keep that a secret. Anne lamotte says “If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should’ve acted better”. While I think we have to be careful and we should consider if we are just hateful and wanting revenge (that doesn’t make a good memoir), I think we should be honest with where we’ve been. Someone else might feel like they are for once understood.

    1. Exactly, also remember it’s another step in your healing process as well . You share what makes you comfortable and if later on you want to expound upon it you can do that as well.

  3. Sharing my journey is exactly what I am doing. It feels good to get it out and not be ashamed of it anymore.
